Autos BMS Ltd offers automotive services including:
Servicing
Diagnostics
Repairs
Coding
Retrofits
3. Booking & Appointments
Bookings are subject to availability.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if necessary.
4. Customer Responsibilities
By booking a service, you agree to:
Provide access to your vehicle at the booked location and time.
Disclose known issues or history relevant to the service.
Arrange for payment by the agreed method upon completion of the service.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Invoicing & Payment
Invoices are payable on collection of vehicle
Payment methods: bank transfer, debit/credit card.
Prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated.
5.2 Deposits
Some services may require an upfront deposit — this will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Deposits are non-refundable unless Autos BMS Ltd cancels the service.
5.3 Minimum Labour Charge
A Minimum Labour Charge of £50 + VAT applies to all bookings — this covers allocated time even if a service cannot be completed.
This excludes any parts or consumables.
5.4 Additional Charges
Late Cancellation / Rescheduling (within 24 hours): £15 + VAT.
In-Progress Cancellation: You will be charged for time, parts used, and any labour required to restore the vehicle.
5.5 Late Payment
If payment is not received by the due date, Autos BMS Ltd reserves the right to apply a late payment administration fee as follows, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2013, to cover the additional administrative costs of managing overdue payments:
£40 for debts up to £999.99
£70 for debts from £1,000 to £9,999.99
£100 for debts of £10,000 or more
6. Customer-Supplied Parts
No warranty is provided on customer-supplied parts or labour associated with them.
Incorrect or poor-quality parts may cause delays or prevent completion.
In such cases, a £50 + VAT call-out charge applies, with standard labour rates for return visits.
7. Quotations & Pricing
Quotations are estimates. Final pricing may change if:
Additional faults are discovered.
Vehicle condition differs from that described.
Extra work is required to complete the repair.
No extra work will be undertaken without your approval.
8. Diagnostics
Diagnostics aim to identify faults. Some may require further investigation.
Minor faults resolved during diagnostics may be included, otherwise further work will be quoted separately.
9. Cancellations & Rescheduling
9.1 Rescheduling
Free if over 48 hours' notice.
Less than 48 hours: Late Rescheduling Charge may apply.
9.2 Cancellations
Free if over 48 hours' notice.
Less than 48 hours or after technician departs: Late or In-Progress Cancellation Charges apply.
10. Misdiagnosis
If it is found that the booked service will not resolve your issue, you may:
Proceed with the service as booked.
Approve an updated service.
Cancel, subject to any applicable cancellation charges.
11. Warranty & Disclaimer
Autos BMS Ltd supplies and fits both genuine OEM parts and non-OEM/aftermarket parts (including reconditioned where agreed).
Warranty terms differ depending on the type of part fitted. The following subsections set out the applicable conditions:
11.1 Genuine OEM Parts Warranty
• Where genuine BMW (or other OEM) parts are supplied and fitted by Autos BMS Ltd, the part itself is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty (typically 24 months).
• Warranty Process: In the event of a suspected part failure, the vehicle must be returned to the supplying BMW (or other OEM) main dealer for inspection and verification. This step is required by the main dealer to confirm whether the part is defective or if the issue relates to installation or other causes.
• Customer Responsibility for Recovery: Autos BMS Ltd is not responsible for recovery or transportation costs to the main dealer for warranty inspection. Such costs remain the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Labour Costs Not Covered: Manufacturer part warranties generally cover the replacement part only and do not extend to additional labour, fitting, or diagnostic costs. Any additional work required will be chargeable.
• Exclusions: The warranty will be void if the part has been tampered with, modified, or damaged by misuse, neglect, or failure to follow recommended maintenance.
11.2 General Warranty
• All work is completed to professional standards.
• Warranty for parts supplied by Autos BMS Ltd (other than genuine OEM parts) will be confirmed at the time of service.
11.3 Diagnostic Limitations
• Diagnostic findings are based on information available at the time of inspection. Certain intermittent faults may not be present during diagnosis.
11.4 Coding, Retrofits & Updates
• Some coding, retrofits, or updates may affect third-party systems or invalidate manufacturer warranties — it is your responsibility to confirm compatibility and any warranty impacts.
11.5 Exclusions of Liability
Autos BMS Ltd is not liable for:
• Pre-existing faults.
• Faults caused by customer-supplied parts.
• Indirect losses (e.g. lost earnings or vehicle downtime).
• Coding/retrofits affecting third-party systems or warranties.
11.6 Non-OEM / Aftermarket Parts Warranty
• Where non-OEM, aftermarket, or reconditioned parts are supplied and fitted, warranty coverage will be limited to the terms offered by the supplier or manufacturer of those parts.
• Autos BMS Ltd provides no guarantee beyond the supplier’s stated warranty. Customers will be informed of the applicable warranty period (if any) at the time of service.
• In the event of a part failure, the customer is responsible for any costs of removal, refitting, recovery, or associated labour unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• No warranty applies where the failure is due to incorrect use, neglect, accident damage, or where the part was supplied by the customer.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law.
Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
